THE BLACK CIRCLE
A HORROR/DRAMA anthology, structured like a stage play, with a connective thread reminiscent of RASHOMON, while artfully injected with shades of INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE
LOGLINE: A living God, a Peasant, and a Samurai, separated by centuries, are shaped in different ways by a curse that brings death, misery, and meaning into their lives and those around them.
SUMMARY: An ancient alien-parasite masquerades as an EGYPTIAN GOD in order to safely feed on the blood of humans. But when the world around him changes and the kingdom he resides in is sacked, he’s forced to find a place among men or perish. A destitute LAUNDRY-MAIDEN, caring for a daughter who dreams of a better life, is able to lift them out of poverty after she finds herself bestowed mysterious abilities after she stumbles onto a horrific crime scene. And a depressed SAMURAI, reeling after the loss of his wife and child, decides to end his life. But the desperate cries of someone in trouble, late one night in the woods, brings him face to face with a curse that keeps him from dying.
